Through the grants, each restaurant will receive $1,000—money that will be utilized as special discounts for customers each day until the grant funds are expended. Each individual restaurant will determine the exact dates that the discounts will be offered.

“Ramadan has always been a time of spiritual upliftment, but medical experts have continued to show the real health benefits tied to intermittent fasting, including reduction in high cholesterol, heart disease and obesity, as well as improving overall well-being. We are proud to be able to both facilitate better practices and allow small business owners to join us in serving the community,” says Akrama Hashmi, managing director of IMANA.
This is the first year that IMANA is awarding grants to restaurants, a program created in response to the pandemic.
